The price of your project will depend on the scope of work, size of your property and what is being constructed. Once a design is approved, we will provide a detailed estimate of costs. We are always willing to fashion a project according to your budget.
Some industry experts recommend paying about 10% of your property’s value for
landscaping.
Our designers will work diligently with you until we devise a plan that suits your taste and site restrictions. We have years of experience working with clients and will provide a design that you love!
Xeriscape is a type of landscaping that conserves water. It utilizes creative design,
beautiful native plants, mulching and drip irrigation. You don’t have to have any rock, if you prefer!
Ask us how to convert your current landscape to conserve water.
Sometimes it is a matter of personal preference. Mulch should be replaced every 1-2 years, whereas rock is only applied one time. We recommend mulching around any perennials and roses, as this is best for the plant, retains moisture and lets the perennials spread and multiply. We install a commercial grade weed barrier underneath all rock areas, to deter weed growth.
Trees and shrubs are guaranteed for one year. During that time, if any plants die, please contact our office and we will schedule a time for replacements. We may want to visit the site to determine the cause of die off and make any adjustments that are needed.
First, replenish the mulch layer to a 3” depth, especially around tender plants such as Roses, Perennials and Hydrangeas. Be sure to blow out your sprinkler system by the end of October. Newly planted trees will benefit from wrapping the trunks.
Winter watering of Evergreens will greatly increase their survival. If there is no moisture for a month, apply watering at the base of each evergreen. They even benefit from watering of the needles of the plant.
Per our proposals, we ask for a 20% deposit to secure a spot in our schedule and to start purchasing materials for your project. Once the construction starts, we ask for a 30% payment and then another 30% payment towards the end of project. Then we will schedule a walk through with you, to address any questions or outstanding items. Once the project is completed, the final 10% is due.
We accept checks and online payments. Any credit card payments require a 3% bank surcharge.
It all depends on the amount of work that we are doing and how many subcontractors are involved. A general rule of thumb is one week per $20,000 amount of work.
